Correspondence
OSOS tab: CorrespondenceNamed in the tab row by ten guides. Opened by none of them — because there is no screen behind it.
What OSOS calls correspondence is not a screen and not a message. It is a CSV export into a Word mail merge: select customers, press Correspond, and the only option offered is “Download Mail Merge Data to MS/Word”. Ten of the sixteen screenshots in NYSDOL's own Correspondence guide are Microsoft Word, Excel or Windows Explorer. Nothing is recorded against the customer, so there is no history of what was sent to whom.
That is verbatim from page 8 of the 4 August 2026 edition — the most recent OSOS guide NYSDOL publishes. The headers are internal template tokens rather than field names, and the cell presented as masking is a Python object reference with a live memory address: a value that failed to render, documented as a privacy feature.
We have not built a Correspondence screen. Designing one is straightforward — send, template, log, and a record of what each customer received — but it would be our design, not a rebuild, and this demo keeps that line visible.
